Rope Bite

My pet went to a local ‘rope bite’ gathering at a friend’s house Friday night, and learned some new ties. She’s been ‘bitten’ by the rope bug for many years and has been jonesing for some more experience ever since. She recently met a younger couple at a munch and apparently the conversation got around to rope, and they’re somewhat more experienced and happy to share their knowledge.

Before going, she mentioned that this couple didn’t have sufficient supplies and could I spare some from my prodigious collection. Of course the answer is yes. When I asked how much they wanted, naturally the answer was “whatever you think you can spare”. Ok. I can spare quite a bit if necessary.

The reason for that is; I have a tendency to haunt the ‘For Sale’ forums on Fetlife for kinky items, and when I find a bargain, out comes my wallet. A couple of years ago someone posted that they were getting out of rope play and wanted to sell their collection. That seemed like a good bargain so I sent them a message. A week later, a box shows up, brimming with numerous braids of nylon rope of all different colors. In the intervening years it’s sat in my spare bedroom upstairs, not being used. I certainly knew eventually I’d either find a use for it, OR someone else would show up needing some, and bing bam zoom, there’d be a solution to the issue. Yeah, took a few years, but it’s not like the stuff was going to go bad.

Now, I just have to go through the box with my pet on video chat and decide which ones, she wants, which ones I want to keep, and which ones we donate. Should be fun.
