When Night Court came on the scene in the mid 1980s, I already knew Harry Anderson from his standup career. But he was rather unique in his comedy and I really liked his style. He dressed well for his act, and he didn’t use a lot of raw language when he did his bits. He had also appeared on Cheers, and later on had his own series called “Dave’s World” that didn’t last very long, but he always stayed rather humble when it came to being an ‘average guy’, he didn’t let the fame go to his head.
I heard this evening that he passed away from natural causes at the age of 65. Thanks Harry, you were one of a kind.
